5 Summer AC Maintenance Tips for Snowbirds

Every year like clockwork, Snowbirds return north to their other residences before triple digit temperatures hit the Valley. So, if you’re one of them, we recommend that you do a little maintenance on your AC system before leave town for the Summer.

Why is AC Maintenance Important, Even While You’re Away?

Maintaining your AC system is important regardless of whether or not you are actually using it less during the Summer while you are away. That’s because you want to avoid unpleasant surprises resulting from such situations as a clogged condensate drain pipe which can make your AC system’s drain pan overflow. That in turn can lead to water leaking from the attic floor into your ceiling below and down the walls of your home. This could lead to costly repair bills resulting from the water damage as wells as potentially promote the grow the harmful contaminants such as mold and mildew. In fact, a clogged condensate drain pipe is perhaps the most common cause of water leakage from a central AC system. So without further ado, here are 5 Summer maintenance tips for Snowbirds.

1. Schedule AC Maintenance Before you Leave the Valley
